Ok, so the statement above is funny to me as I have always been one to wish. Joe and I have often passed time playing the "we just bought a lottery ticket & if we win we will spend this and give away that game" I think wishing is very healthy in life. All of that being said, the reason for my title is much more simple... but the occasion that brought me here is hilarious (in my humble opinion)
Our beloved Poppa had hip surgery yesterday. Joe took the day off so I could be there to help my dad and also got a sitter for the kids because I needed moral support due to things surrounding the surgery (I won't get into that... best not sto say anything at all if it can't be nice right:)) So, Dad has surgery and we get home after seeing him in recovery. We are just saying goodbye to the sitter when Jack get's up. We are a little surprised because he's only napped for an hour and as he's coming out of his room I hear Joe say "Jack... oh wait erhh uhh... just put it in the toilet bud" I turn to find my son gently holding his own "Big Poopies Momma" and walking it to the toilet and then walking out of the bathroom and just shy of Daddy wiping his hand he rubs his nose. EWWW( instert Gag sound here) I didn't even try to hold the laugh as the thought in my head was the title of this blog.....
Potty training has been going backwards it seems for us and I'm unsure of the complete reason why... could it be my new hours... lack of attention... stress in the house? I called my good friend Jen and asked her (her son William is 3 weeks younger then Jack) She stated they are having some of the same. I'm not alone in this I know... but as Mom's around the world will tell you, I have guilt that maybe I'm not doing enough to help/teach/encourage him. We shall see.
Poppa's surgery went well and Nana's getting stronger everyday. She's now had 2 Cancer scans and she's cancer free at this moment. Thank you God for all of this. I'm hopeful Poppa will recover and be as active as before. I'm hoping this will be the last we see if the ick that is Cancer.
We recently took the boys and my nephew Joey camping. I never camped as a kid and have only gone a few times with Joe. I'm discovering how much I enjoy it. I will concede that it's camping in a pop-up camper and with the use of electric for fans ect... but it's still camping. Jack loves it too and this makes it all the more fun for us. He and Joey both ride their bikes and amaze us at how smart/athletic they are. They play very well together and other then a few moments at night where they were up it was a BLAST. I will try to post camping photo's here soon.
Finally, I must confess that I have blog envy... I have reencetly been reading my friend Jenny's blog about her son that is Jack's age and daughter that's a few months younger then Luke. She's smart, witty and just does a fantastick job at it. I aspire to be a blogger more like her. I am hoping to at least post more and add more photo's as well as some video!!
Stay Tuned....
