Eat your heart out Duff

So, the hubby and I decided this past weekend that we needed more sweet in our lives. Luke is the 8th grandchild on Joe's side and since there are a few of us in that side of the family, we have been attending a quite a few birthday parties.

Jack therefore, has become mildly obsessed with his "burday" cake. "When is it his turn?" and "what will it be"? He already knows that it's coming and that he wants Lightning "A-queen" or "I peed" cake as he calls it. He means McQueen and the reason for the name is that McQueen says "Speed, I am Speed" therefore, he was given the name "I-peed" very early on and it stuck. There is a catch though. He not only wants I-peed but also Chick Hicks and Mr. The King on the cake as well.

I decided there was only one way to gain ideas for his vision of a cake.... go to Dr. Google and research. I had mildly remembered Darice forewarning in a certain blog that my hands would get colored.... Well they did. I started to write this blog on Aug 30th and am finishing it up on Sept. 3rd and I can tell you they are still showing signs of food coloring .....HELP DARCIE!!

Here are a few photo's of our "practice cake" for Jack's 3rd birthday. If I may be as so bold as to brag, I will say that we only spent 2 hours on it (Minus baking the cake, but that was all of 10 min) We are very proud of ourselves. :)
