Becca and I became friends through the blog world and I am SO blessed to have become her friend.....

Today started well. I woke up and curled my hair with an attempt to feel better and try to look better as well. I got the kids ready and decided that since I needed to leave the house anyway to run an errand for Joe, I would put my best foot forward and make it a good day.

I gave Jack his medication for his cough and made back to back dr. appts for the kids because they are both fighting something. I figured this way they would see their regular doctor and be covered.

After running the errand for Joe, I told Jack we could stop at Target and look at the Disney Cars. I needed a few things as well. I ended up calling Joe and casually mentioned to him that I gave Jack his antibiotic. He said, "no you didn't, cause I did at 7." I said, "what, I gave it to him at 9:30"

The thing is, he's supposed to get it 1 time every 12 hours and we gave it 2 times in less then 2 hours. I called the nurse line and they told me that I needed to call poison control. WONDERFUL. I called them, and they said he should be fine. Thank you God for that one.

We later make it to the doctor and wouldn't you know that the cough that has been keeping Luke and the rest of the house up at night, decided to hide and play like it wasn't there. The doctor told me that he sounded fine and since he napped in the car on the way there, he's playing in his crib as I type this.

All this fun aside, I came home to a package sitting by my door.

I raced inside, set the kids down, rushed to put everything away, and tore it open.

There, in this medium sized box was 2 large bags of M&M's and 2 sets of coloring books and crayons. There was also a card that stated simply and plainly how much it sucks to be in the spot we are in and how Becca and her family, "are here for us".

Becca, You are by far the BEST friend I've never met. Thank you for knowing my heart without really knowing all of me. I'm so very blessed to call you friend.

What a sweet gesture from someone you've never met. You're so blessed, Amy and I hope the sun starts shining a lot more often for you. You deserve it!

Ok, "Just the Momma that is sharing your life and your 3 boys lives." Lucky you to have not met such a wonderful person as Becca. (My daughter). When you make friends with Becca, you have a friend for life. And not just because she is "My Daughter" She is my best friend, confidant, pick me up when I am down person and she knows just when someone needs her the most. I think she is a little psycho - sorry I mean psychic when it comes to that kind of stuff. When you make friends with Becca, you've got a friend for life. I know, because I don't know what I would do without her.

What a kind gesture! It's often hard to know *what* to do when a friend is going through a hard time, but it's almost always best to just do *something*. And I love that Becca...did. :)
