Kids never cease to amaze me.....

So, Tuesday of this week Joe and Jack are at swimming lessons when Jack turns to Joe and says "Daddy what is this for?" Joe replies "it keeps the food fresh" to which Jack says "Oh that's a great idea Dad." Seriously.... he's 2. How cute is that? Now on the flip side last night we had my mom over for sloppy Joe's and home make chocolate cupcakes. Jack is a picky eater (as I am) and we asked him to just take 1 bite of his sloppy and he could have his dessert. He just needed to try it. Well 3 hours later and multiple protests from Jack and still no bite as well as no dessert. I must hand it to DH because I was about to cave in around the 2 hour mark. Oh well. Needless to say Nana got quite the kick out of it because karma had come back to haunt me. :0)

Lj is doing fantastic as well. I do remember Jack being a super smiley baby and a happy one but Lj seems the same and yet he's more mellow. One of the things I love about Jack is that he's so animated and passionate about life (as is his momma) but it's also a constant struggle. Jack's the type of kid who knows what he likes and wants, and is fierce about doing it that way. I really love and respect this about him and most days I welcome this challenge. It's going to be interesting to see how Lj's personality differs.

Coming back to those Bunk Beds that Joe picked up for us.... Jack loves them as does our nephew Joey. They play on them constantly and I remember having them as a child and also loving them. They are very large but we are making them work in the space.

My current goal (while seemingly small) is to make Lj laugh out loud. He coo's and gaa's and that's pacifies me for the moment but I am dying to hear him laugh out loud. I'm also getting the itch to compare how the kids look. I feel like while they have some minor similarities they are very different looking and it intrigues me greatly. I had thought that they would look more alike and maybe it's because I"m their mom and cannot see it. I'm told that Jt looks mostly like dad or even have gone as far as to hear that he's a spitting image of his dad. Whereas my friends say Lj is all me. We shall see right?
Well... I had better get back to the grind. P.S. I have just spoke to Jt and he's still talking about dinner the morning after.... maybe we've scarred him for life...
