"No I have a Bagina"

|

You know how in the Spanish language there is a sound for the letter "V" that comes out sounding like the letter "B" well my 2 year old has somehow picked up on that and any word that begins with V is now having a B sound. It's really cute. He was telling me the other day that Daddy has a penis and he wants a bagina. He's fairly set on this idea.... we are thinking he may change his mind at some point though. This weekend was a good one. Filled with lots of family time and lots of testing from the toddler in the house. He's very set on what he wants which I admire too a point but he's also stubborn... not sure where that comes from. He's been getting up and traveling to our room at night and we are making the attempt to remedy that issue right away because otherwise he's soo cranky and whinny to deal with. He's such a fun kid most of the time and keeps us on our toes with his little Jack ism's. For example... today he told me for the umpteenth time that he wants to brush his teeth with sausage... what he really means is cinnamon toothpaste but he calls it sausage... He also tells us that if we go to McDonald's we are not allowed to go to the "Garage" which means drive through... finally he gave our Nanny a very hard time because he wanted a "cheese sand which" which in his world translates to grilled cheese but she didn't know... I love this time in his life and wish he could remain this little boy who is so trying to be a grown up. He's tremendously good with his little brother... very gentle and hugging on him It makes us beam with pride.

Lj... where to begin on that baby... the main phrases used when talking about Mr. Lj is "what an easy baby he is" "oh he's soo happy" He looks just like his Momma" we shall see. Poor kid if he looks like me though. One of my favorite times with Lj is when he's just woken from a nap or overnight and he's just so gosh darn happy. The kid is all smiles and kicks and just really content. That's usually how I am which seems like it's been forever since I've woken in a mood that classifies as upbeat just due to sleep deprivation of the last 2.5 years. I get more sleep then Joe WAY more and he's very good about knowing the loin that comes out if I don't and rarely complains on this fact. He on the other hand is not so much of a happy camper when it comes to being woken up. He does well for the most part but there are days that the bear in him is showing himself. I feel like I am in a constant state of worry with Lj because he has such a flat head and isn't' a true fan of tummy time. I"m really trying to work on this but with Jack being soo busy I don't get a lot of time I would consider quality time with Lj where he's not feeding or just being held and I'm too tired to make more of an effort. I need to though... I need to do a lot of things better.

Mother's Day is just around the corner and I look forward to it. I have also decided with a sweet and gentle nudge from Joe (frankly it was his idea the sweet man) to get something together for my mom's 60th b-day/ We rarely acknowledged it and I feel bad but at that time I think we were still in new baby mode and that isn't an excuse either just more of a side note.

Always things to do right....
