I feel as though there are not enough words right now to share with you how wonderful my husband is. Two nights ago he stayed up until 2:30 am (full well knowing he had to work the next day) and installed a new floor in our kitchen. It's 90% complete but he didn't stop there. He took all of the stuff laying around the living/dining room and put it back so that when I woke for work at 5, I thought we'd been robbed because there wasn't anything (in that room anyway) to step over. The kitchen disaster is now about 90% complete;y back to normal and I have only him to thank for it. This man is incredible.
Tonight we decided to raid our garden. We had the very best intentions on having a large selection of tomato's as well as plenty to "can" around this time to make homemade sauce later. However, due to vacation, a watermelon fiasco and life with 2 kids under 3, we haven't had the time/energy to do so. There were plenty of other things that needed our attention in our home right now but for once we both thought we should go see what was happening in the garden. We discovered that we had around 100 ripe and ready Roma tomato's and about 75 big boy's to pick and prep for the freezer (and yummy sauce later) we checked with Dr. Google and found a quick and easy process for getting them into freezer mode. As I type this I can no longer look at a tomato but once again.... there is my love, finishing the last of them (cutting, squeezing out seeds, all the fun stuff) and getting them ready to be in food saver bags.
What did I do to deserve such a guy? T
his man would move the moon for me. He's beyond hands on in EVERY aspect of our life together. A way better cook then I am (I'm the baker) can out iron me any day (I'm too lazy) and loves myself and our boys to pieces. He's beyond funny ( a favorite line of his if I'm having a hard day is "Do you want me to take my shirt off for you? Would that make it better honey?") He's also romantic, sensitive and tolerates my craziness with humor and respect.
He completes my world, and more then this he is my very best friend. The greatest gift I could ever have is to just grow very very old with him. :)

Yay!! A new kitchen floor! Just don't think about WHY you got the new floor... enjoy it!
Kind of funny - It looks the exact same as my kitchen floor. I love it because it's the color of dirt... you know why that's good, right??
Good men are hard to come by so don't forget to tell him how special he is everyday. What a good man Joe is. I love this post, makes me all warm & fuzzy inside. Bitty
Awww. Thanks Bitty. I got tears from your comment.
I'm married to a guy like that too. :)
He's always been the better ironer. But I'm the better cook...
