The Toy aisle has Magic healing powers.

Jack looked at me today and asked "Mommy, who is that princess?" I peered up from the floor where Luke and I were crawling around to see my oldest looking at a framed set of photos of Joe and seeing one another for the very first time on our wedding day. I laugh and tell him "Silly Jack, that's not a princess, that's Mommy." We take the frame down and he begins to tell me that I am a princess in the picture and that daddy is not a prince but a king! Joe will love that story when he gets home. I'm not the queen, just a mere princess but he surely is the king...

Jack also requested for me to flip the pancakes in the pan today "like Daddy" does. I stated that I was unsure if I could do so and he then informed me that " It's ok Mom, I know Daddy is stronger" This lit a fire under me and I then proved to the boy that Momma can hold her own on the pancake flipping front.

Both boys are sleeping at the moment and it's a nice break for me. We had Jack's 3 yr well check yesterday and he did wonderfully... that is until he was given his Hep, H1N1 and regular flu shots. Then we were all puddles of tears. Mommy and Luke also got a shot each (Luker got H1n1 as well) Jack cried for much longer then I would have thought and at one point in the day a small glimpse of the shot area would allow the tears to freely flow again. He somehow managed to recover enough to walk around Target and explain to me how he needed a "new Lightning Mcqueen car for his house". Amazing how the sight of the toy aisle will make a boo boo all better :)
