When I was little, my mom would make stir fry for the family and mac-n-cheese for me. She just "didn't want to deal with the ongoing battle anymore."
I thought nothing of it and usually skirted food issues other then an occasional dinner with new people. Then I would drink a lot of water/milk and "chase" it down.
However, that Karma, she's one sassy lady for sure. My son Jack was born and in walked Karma.
I used to watch the old "Jon & Kate plus 8" and think "wow, how does she do it?"
Well, she's not a rocket scientist, she's just firm on the food subject. I haven't been and, Lord help me, I'm getting it back in spades.
That said, Joe and I have made a list (longer then I intended) of goals for 2010 and one of them is to take a stand on the food subject. Tonight we did and while Jack is now in bed without dinner, I'm ok with that. I need this battle to be peaceful.
It' can't be any worse then the battle of sleeping in his own bed can it? We shall see. Pretty hard to be angry at that sweet face.

Oh, lady, let me know if find any hidden secrets on this topic! W goes without dinner more nights a week than I like to admit. L, on the other hand, eat her dinner and W's and then asks for more. Like night and day, those two are!
