Puppy Love

|
Today is beautiful in MN. I mean seriously B E A utiful. Thank God for that. I was having one of those mornings where there were 5 or 6 things I needed to do, but the boys had other ideas.

My windows are open and since Luke decided that morning naps are for infants, or Mommy missed the morning nap window, we went for a walk/bike ride. Jack biked while Luke and I walked.

It was wonderful. The sun on our faces, no need for more then a sweatshirt and Jack dictating each and every turn. No real plan, just wherever we ended up was fine. I wished I had planned and packed a lunch, but we made the best of the granola bars and water I did bring.

We ended up at a park very near our home. We are lucky to have about 5 (yes FIVE) parks within in 3 blocks of our home in every direction. There is one though that we seem to always be at. Ironically I used to work there in the summers, running the local day-camp. It was one of my better jobs :).

As we played today, we happened to look over and see a gaggle of puppies running in a yard across the street. They were all black and all ADORABLE. Leaving our cares and stuff behind, we scaled the big hill and crossed the street to say hello. This Momma cannot
resist puppies. Especially soft, sweet black lab puppies.

There were 9 of them. Momma is a golden lab and Daddy a chocolate one, yet they had 13 all black puppies. Jack and Luke enjoyed them too.

I cannot tell a lie and deny the fact that I have been hinting to Joe for a while now that I'd love a big dog. The hard part though is that a big dog means more to care for. There's potty training, teaching them to not jump up on people, shots, fixing them, ect. Plus, we have 2 little dogs at home now.

I can dream though, I can dream about puppy kisses, and wiggle waggle tails, I can dream about a large lap dog that won't leave my side but will run and play with my boys and protect us well too.

Someday we will get our big dog(s) :). When Jack and Luke are able to pitch in and help out with the chores involved.....Till then, I may just convince Jack to visit the park again for no reason other then simply that his Momma can watch and see the little puppies & dream about one of her own.
