If I had a million dollars

|
Have I told you yet that I'm rich?

Yes, Filthy rich!

I'm so rich that I don't even know what to do with all the riches I have. It's a nice problem to have, let me tell you. Ahem

You must be thinking along the lines of:
"Wow, did she really just say she's rich? Not from the pictures I've seen :)"

I'm not money rich, far from it actually.

I'm rich in love from my husband.
I'm rich in health from our family.
I'm rich in my love for God.
I'm rich in friends too....man do I have a ton of amazingly wonderful friends.
I'm rich in family also. I have a Mom and Dad who love me and our little family.
I have in-laws that are rockin' too.
(Don't get me wrong, we have our share of odd ducks too....in fact maybe I'm considered one of them.)

When it comes to my little life, I don't want for much. We have enough room in our home for us to live; yes, we'd like more. We have a large yard and love it. We have 2 working cars that get us from points A to B. Yes, we would like different cars, maybe a 2nd car garage and a few other things.

We do realize thought that some marriages aren't always so easy, some kiddos are terminally sick, some families are far away and hard to keep in touch with, and some people don't have the amount of friends willing to love on them when they need it and when they don't. We have these thins in abundance. They are all wonderful and while we aren't perfect, we are happy.

If you haven't figured it out already, I'm also very social.

I love people. I love to know how they tick and what their lives are like. You could write me a page long email about your day and how you manage it and I would be enthralled. Even if you think is boring. I feed off that kind of thing. I also love to feel needed. Call me up anytime and cry on my shoulder, ask my avice, or you may just get it without asking (sorry, that's the italian in me)

Joe and I find ourselves buying a lottery ticket here or there when the mood strikes and we play a little game that reminds me of a song called "If I had a million dollars"

If we did, or rather if we won a lottery, I really wouldn't want to win ALL of it. I think that the "mo, money mo problems" verse comes to mind in that case.

However, if we did win what I would deem to be an insane amount, here are 6 surprising things we would do. (or, because I'm an open book, or it's just plain obvious, maybe these aren't a surprise)

  1. We would set up trust funds for all our frinds and families kids to be able to go to college and get a degree.
  2. We would give our church the money it needs to expand and grow
  3. We would adopt. 2-4 kids (or more) & all of a different race then ours and at least 2 from another country.
  4. We would still work.
  5. We would track our ancestry as far back as we could and take our parents/siblings to see where we came from.
  6. We would think it would be cool to buy a rather large plot of land and put the homes of our closest family and friends on it with a path that connects us all together with a large playstructure/grounds in the middle. This land would also include lots of wooded acreage and areas to 4-wheel, hike, camp, play and explore. Some of these, we may still do without the lottery :).

They are just some of the random dreams that we dream. There are plenty more, but I just happen to find these interesting/share-worthy today.

What would you do? What are your dreams?

Ooooh can I just steal all of your ideas for what to do with the millions that I am going to earn? They are great ideas!
I would definitely plan for education for my children. I would make sure my family and my friend's families are well taken care of. I would probably not continue working in the traditional sense, but would spend more time with my children. Once they are a bit older and in school I would go back to work, but maybe doing something a little different...
oh the possibilities...
Oh, yeah, and I'd get that fake turf for our backyard. The stuff that looks real but, you know, lasts. Yeah, that is a must!

No prob. Chels. P.S. We wouldn't continue working in the traditional sense either. We would work and do things we both LOVED doing. J, for example would like to be a pilot.
